Donwload HP SSH 3.81

I am having a hard time downloading the T1471AA (HP SSH) version 3.81.002. Where does HP keep old versions of a product??

I could not get it on software.hp.com

Anil,

Frankly, I think HP deliberately attempts to encourage people to migrate to the newest versions by either hiding or removing the older versions. It has to make their lives easier (and thus more profitable) when they can reduce the number of different versions they are supporting, with individual products and with the O/S itself.

Hi anil,

I do not think this software is availble for download anywhere. What you can try is look into some old application cd's and see if you have one on which this version is available. Or you can download the binaries from openssh archive (i think there is an old archive) and compile it, which i personally try not to if it is not necessary. HP SSH is build on openssh.

Is there any particular reason, you are looking for this specific version ?.


Take a look at this link from openssh.org and you'll see ftp / http mirrors and i checked and the old version is there,

http://openssh.org/portable.html

You may have to compile it.

They have upped to version 3.9.1 of ssh.

I have copies of 3.8.x laying around if you really need them. Typically I get someone at itrc to bless the transfer before setting it up.

Its probably easier for all concerned to use 3.9.1

This version number is getting awfully high. I'm wondering if there is a 4.0 coming soon. We're running out of second digits here.
