Downloadable Patch budles

Does anyone know if there is a place to download the patch bundles for HP-UX11.0?

Any assistance would be wonderful. I have already checked the itrc ftp site and all patches are individual patches.

You can create a custom patch bundle for you box from the itrc.

We have it as part of our service contract, you may as well. It is a lot cheaper than having hp do it and you can do it a lot faster than they can.

I don't believe you can download the patch bundles.
If you have the level of support you can run
cpm_collect.sh on your server
ftp it to 192.151.11.27
cd to incoming
put the outpt from cpm_collect.sh
Then go to HPs support web site under 'Maintenance & Support'

Patch Analysis
This will provide you with a list of patches for your server, you can pick and choose which patches you want. They are then bundled together to be downloaded

Hi Tony,

Yes, the bundles are available on the ITRC but I also suggest you consider using CPM as Craig and Nancy suggest. This method will create a bundle of patches specifically for your system which may be a considerably smaller number of patches.

If you use CPM I suggest you select the HP recommended patches, not the latest. You can then run an analysis online for dependency checking. When you are set, download the shar file, unshar it, and follow the directions in the readme. The readme procedure tells you to run make_depot which will download each patch in the bundle individually then create the depot. If the ftp is interrupted you can simply rerun make_depot and patches already downloaded will not have to be downloaded again.
