DR Testing
I attempted to use an rp8400 make_recovery_tape to recover to an rp4440 in preparation for an upcoming test. It failed miserably on the final boot with a VFS_MOUNTROOT failure. After several hours, my only recourse was to recover the OS from recovery disk. Now I do have a basic OS installed. My question is, can I then just restore ALL files except /dev to bring the rp4440 to an image of the rp8400? It will be much easier than installing patches, kernel parms, java releases, etc.
