Re: DS2300 and A400-44 LUN config
DS2300 this is JBOD not array. You can
configure only Volume Groups not LUN-s.
If you want to do this you must create on
server A six vg's , and import vg configuration on serwer B.

SolutionEach disk can be a VG (only 1 VG per disk for a total of 4 VGs), or all 4 disks can be in the same VG. If you have all disks in a single VG then you can create 6 LVs in that VG to kind of simulate the 6 LUNs that you need.

Re: DS2300 and A400-44 LUN config
I agree with all above.
Be sure to run the DS2300 in Full-bus mode (Only with Full-bus mode both Servers can see all of your 13 Disks)
When doing this, you have to change the SCSI-ID on the HBA of one Server.
You can not use Slot number 6 in this case.
If you miss this, everything will look alright, until you put data onto yout shared disks ...

Re: DS2300 and A400-44 LUN config
You're thinking of the DS2100 which holds only 4 disks.
The DS2300 holds 14 & has split-bus capability and dual I/Fs so it can be used in an MC/SG cluster.
So you could have either max 7 or 14 disks/VGs on it.
Rgds,
Jeff

Re: DS2300 and A400-44 LUN config
I was just going by the ioscan output he showed. He only showed 4 disks in the DS2300, so you can have at most 4 VGs on those 4 disks.
I wasn't looking necessarily at any limits of the DS2300 itself, just what I saw in the post.
