DTC booting

Hi,

I am looking for a way to boot and manage DTC 16TN terminal server from a PC (Linux prefered or Win) rather than from a HP-UX server.

Thanks,
Rumen

Re: DTC booting

Maybe, if you have config files of DTC, and you can configure rbootd on Linux, you can send file to DTC, I don't know if download process is simple as download a file via rbootd. But if you do that, you will loose all funcionalities like check DTC status, dtcping (you can do ping), dtcreset, etc.

Re: DTC booting

I believe you may be referring to DTC Manager Product # D2355B
I am not sure if this is still sold though.

Re: DTC booting

David, this will be the last thing I would try. Yes DTCs may be will load its configuration with this approach, but further it will be impossible to change DTCs configuration and manage them.

Melvyn, I even can't find information on D2355B. I believe it is a port of DTC Manager/UX for other OS. If so where I can find it?

Re: DTC booting

I have just checked and this product appears to be still on the price list.
I would suggest you contact your local HP office or Distributor for the product pricing/availability
