DTCCONFIG - Run from remote

I routinely use Hummingbird products for terminal emulation when dialing in to
our HP 9000 server running 10.2. I use VT220 emulation. I have been unable
to find a way to run the DTCCONFIG program from any emulator since I can not
use the function keys required (F5 Action, etc). Can you tell me the best way
to run the DTCCONFIG program when dialing in remotely?

Re: DTCCONFIG - Run from remote

Howard,

The way to get the function key actions to work from a non-HP terminal emulator
client is to press :

F
then a number from 1 to 8 that reflects the function key that you want to use.

Example :
=========

F5 becomes F 5

If the TERMINAL emulator you are using supports VT emulation (of which yours
does - VT220)when you go into dtcconfig the function key display along the
bottom look something like :

^F4-Done

This actually translates to F 4 where ^=

Any problems then don't hesitate to reply to my email.
