dtterm display to a Sun machine
what is a remedy for the follwing warnings?
Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion
Warning: Cannot convert string "-dt-interface system-medium-r-normal-l*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontSet

Re: dtterm display to a Sun machine
Sounds as if CDE's dt-interface fonts are not available to the remote display, in this case the Sun box.
Easiest way to fix maybe to setup a font-server on the system running the dtterm process (see man xfs) and add the tcp/ipaddress:7000 to the Sun's font path using xset +/- fp .....
If this fails to resolve : look at CDE's diagnotic tool : /usr/contrib/bin/X11/dr_dt and also check the installation of the fonts on the remote system : xset -q will list them, make sure fonts.alias and fonts.dir files are not 0 bytes, if they are you may need to re-install the fonts or run mkfontdir (see man page for details).
