Solution
Sometimes EMS notification can be questionable. This is not the first time I've seen this. In your case it looks like an internal cdrom to me (from the brand name) and I bet this is one a B2000 or similar kind of machine ? We have a few that behave like this and despite attempts to rectify the problems by ..
- patches
- upgrade EMS version
.. it does not help. The cdrom is perfectly fine. I ended up disable the cdrom from being monitored by EMS. Use this recipe here (see my reply)..

Make a call to HP as well, see if they have a solution for you.

Re: EMS Ask?
The problem is caused by the fact that the version of disk_em you have is treating the CD-ROM drive as it would a hard disk drive, and sometimes gets unexpected responses.
This was a generic problem with removable media devices. The monitor was changed to only monitor fixed disk devices. The version you have (A.30.00, HWE0203) does not have this fix in. The fix was made to the HWE0209 (A.34.00) release of OnlineDiags.
So, the suggestion to upgrade to the latest version (currently A.38.00, HWE0303) is the correct solution, and should stop any events being generated for the CD-ROM drives.
You should always install the latest available patch for any release of OnlineDiags (because the patches contain fixes for critical and serious problems); for A.38.00 that is PHSS_28957 for 11.11 and PHSS_28956 for 11.0.

Re: EMS Ask?
Hi,
This could be a CDROM Drive problem or it could be an EMS problem also.
Sometimes EMS also gives false messages, you try accessing the CDROM Drive & check if it is working then probably you can upgrade the EMS & STM version to the latest one.
Regards,
Rajesh G.
