Re: EMS cache_errors mail message
I would look at the file:
/system/events/cpu/lpmc/cache_errors
and see if there is anything in there.
Then make sure all cpu's are functioning with top or glance or gsp and then I would move on.

Re: EMS cache_errors mail message
Looks like you have installed EMS but haven't configured it completely. Use the command "/etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig" command. It's menu driven, so it's easy to verify the configuration of this particular event.
I suggest you enable other events too. It can be very useful and can assist you with proactive maintenance.

Re: EMS cache_errors mail message
There is no /system/events directory/cpu/lpmc directory. I thought that this was an EMS convention for specifying resources:
Resources currently monitored:
/system/events/cpu/lpmc/cache_errors

Re: EMS cache_errors mail message
I think that Sridhar has the suggestion you should follow. I never configured EMS, but maybe you need to. My EMS has correctly noted fan and disk issues prior to failure on my 11.11 machines.

Re: EMS cache_errors mail message
You don't say which version of OnlineDiags you have installed. There was a bug in very old versions which caused lpmc_em to die periodically due to a file descriptor leak. This was fixed in the A.30.00 (HWE0203) release; if you have a version older than that, you should be looking to upgrade anyway.
If that's not the answer, let us know what version of OnlineDiags you are running.

Is there a way to remove the superfluous entries?
