EMS issue monitoring filesystem free space

I use the following emscli command to establish monitoring free space on a file system:

/opt/resmon/bin/emscli -a /system/filesystem/availMb/software -n 1 -r lt 50.000000 -o ini, ret -p 30 -u sec -t snmp -s maj -c "FILESYSTEM FREE SPACE LOW"

This works just find and sends the snmp trap just fine when the file system free space is less than 50Mb.

BUT, I can into an issue where the file system does not respond, typically the disk is down, etc. The value of the resource being monitored now is "ERROR". This causes the event to trigger and send off the snmp trap. The problem is, it send the event every monitoring cycle (30 seconds). So unfortunately one night I got thousands of emails as this event continuedto trigger all night long.

Any ideas on how to work around this issue?

Shalom,

You might be better off monitoring this with a script that is smart enough to not decide that no response is zero space.
