Not a server, not a workstation..... so I put it to the UX guru's.
How does one reset the X-term so that it can be setup to talk to a new server? How does one reset the password?
Ta,

SolutionOK Passwords : try "secret" ....... it used to be a back door into these systems .....
If that doesn't work you may need to factory default it by power cycling the unit , wait for the 2 beeps and then hold down the following keys :
As to changing it to "talk to a new server" I presume you mean XDMCP connect :
Once you gain access to the xterminals config screen -> allow the xterminal to boot and start an X session ....
goto Xserver-> either change the Mode to Broadcast so you get a list (chooser) of all the systems on your network which you can XDMCP to or if you prefer to go directly to the new host : set mode to XDMCP direct and add the new hosts hostname to the Host(s) filed below the X Display Manager Mode settings.
save , exit and powercycle the xterminal for the changes to take effect.

Re: Envisex passwords.
I've got some old documentation about configuring a X-term. If you are interested please send your email adres. The documentation is in Dutch.

Re: Envisex passwords.
Robert, that would be great! We South Africans speak a close cousin of dutch, so no worries.
