Error in HP UX 11i
I have HP UX 11i running on dual processor systems having RISC based processor supplied by HP itself.
Since last one or two month i am facing a problem that the server gives an error indication on the front panel and after that when I am getting the error removed from GSP port that error disappears.
The error from GSP port is as follows
==========

===========
I would like to know the reason and the solution also if possible and the criticality of these errors or how do I interpreet these or any other errors hence forth occures
Thanks and regards.
Rajesh

Re: Error in HP UX 11i
The message from the GSP
source and Source Detail is pointing to your GSP card itself. Seems there is some problem with. Try resetting the GSP with the switch on the card itself. You may have to open the top cover and the side cover to get reset the same (for L class).
Or upgrade your GSP to the latest. Have a look at the following link
With best wishes

Re: Error in HP UX 11i
Before taking anything apart, try doing a software reset:
stty +resetGSP
You don't mention what the hardware is. It is worth getting the firmware revision checked (and upgraded if necessary).
I think A.1.12 is the latest GSP firmware rev. You can get it from itrc if its required.
If it does turn out to be the latest rev already, and the soft reset doesn't work, then its time for the hard reset (as per the previous suggestion).
