SolutionAlfred,
These errors look normal to me. You do not have to install those patches, because superseded one has been installed.
don't worry, you are doing fine :)

Re: Error while applying GOLDQPK June2007
Thanks for for your information, it looks you're right and no need to aply the initial fileset metioned there as I just want to make sure that the patches that I will apply will not encounter any serious problem in the future.
Hi TY007,
Just wanna check with you and confirm, is it the standard procedure in HP to apply first the OS patch before to apply this GOLDQPK?

Since they are errors, Alfred has to do something to get by them. Any suggestions?

I would sure hope this is the exception. Were there any special installation instructions you got with GOLDQPK?

Re: Error while applying GOLDQPK June2007
Sorry for my delay of reply:)
I installed the GOLDQPK from SAM, and when I install it I saw the errors appear from the screen log of SAM.
What is the good practice, initially install the GOLDQPK if there's a new verson of it then follow the OS patch?

Re: Error while applying GOLDQPK June2007
Perhaps doing it from the command line with Bob's suggestion of "-x patch_match_target=true":

>What is the good practice, initially install the GOLDQPK if there's a new version of it then follow the OS patch?
You can combine both into one depot and install both at the same time. Downloading multiple patches provides a create_depot_hp-ux_11 script to do this.

Re: Error while applying GOLDQPK June2007
Please check the pre-requisits first. If there is a patch which is a required as pre-requist. install that first and they apply the bundle patch. this will be more clean way to install the patch. System will be stable and error free.

This is more towards special case like yours, which could be resulted from defects from Initial OS Installation or previous OS Patches Update activity.
Load in the OS Patches first & you could sleep well in future Newer GOLDQPK Installation :)
Thanks

ERROR: The dependencies for fileset "PHNE_35453.STREAMS2-KRN,r=1.0"

You must resolve the above dependencies before operating on
this fileset or change the "enforce_dependencies" option to
"false".
Is the solution 'swcopy both patches together'? Or do I need to install the patches?
Appreciate your swift response.Many thanks.

You should be creating your own threads so you can assign points. And if needed, add a link to this one.
Yes, you should swcopy both patches to one depot and install both at the same time. (You might be able to install PHNE_35351 first but why reboot twice?)
