Error While installing HP-UX 11.31 on 9000/785/B2600 machine

hi,
I am new to HP-UX. I have workstation b2600.
My machine model is 9000/785/B2600 (using model command). Previouslu i had HP-UX 11.11 installed. Now i want to Cold install (from scratch) HP-UX 11.31 on the same machine. I have 1GB of RAM. While booting from DVD it gives error and machine hangs there. I have attached the screenshot here.

Some more simple generic statements.
No workstations are supported on 11.31.
No PA workstations are supported on 11.23.
Only a few IPF workstations are supported on 11.23 but that was for 11.23 versions in 2005.

Tor..... no reason to be rude, simply say "no" and leave it. The user seems to be a newbie and doesn't exactly have a commanding use of the English language.

Further, Install the latest support base OS then patch to the latest release of your supported patch set. There's no reason to have the latest and greatest of OS's on a workstation unless your planning a crash and burn system. Then, I'd recommend different hardware.

I don't see how anyone could construe Torsten's responses to be rude. He told the noob that it was unsupported. He pointed to the noob to the documentation that the hardware would not support 11.31. And finally he said in the plainest possible way that it wasn't supported.

Where and how is that rude?

Sorry if I offended anyone. It's obvious that I was just a bit sensitive to some of the comments made earlier and for once, I decided to say something and call him out on it. Although the information from you on this thread was fine, I thought that the comments were uncalled for (i.e.: "buy one") What the hell is that? It didn't solve anything.

cdar, I did not simply say no, scroll up and see my notes about the fact that this HP9000 workstation is not supported with 11.31.

What is your suggestion for "But how to get rp???"

OK, if I read this again he probably think this workstation has another model name (like rpxxxx), but it hasn't.

To get a supported system could be a solution if he needs to run the new OS for any reason.

So finally, any HP9000/700 workstation is not supported with 11.31 and won't work at all with this release.

BTW, if you call me like you did, this could be rude - but this is a language thing, doesn't matter.
