errors while doing 'swlist'
Hello all,
I'm facing a strange problem on a HP9000/D390 server running HPUX 10.20. When I do a 'swlist' none of the installed products are listed and the below messages scrolls on the screen.
WARNING: Ignoring unknown keyword 'supercedd' at line...
WARNING: Ingnoring unknown keyword 'configured' at line...
..............................
..............................
..............................
The normal operation of the server is not affected and I'm able to run other commands. Also when I do a 'swinstall' it takes very long to come to the install menu.
What can be wrong? Thanks in advence for all the replies.
regards
Sunil Kumar K.U.

Re: errors while doing 'swlist'
Hi sunil,
Looks like you SD tools files have got corrupted. You should install the latest SD patch. The latest SD Patch for 10.20 is PHCO_25316
http://us-support2.external.hp.com/wpsl/bin/doc.pl/screen=wpslDisplayPatch/sid=3fae48d01375599ecf?PACH_NAM=PHCO_25316&HW=s800&OS=10.20
If this doesn't have reinstall the sd filesets from the core OS CD and patch it.
Hope this helps.

Re: errors while doing 'swlist'
Hi
I think your
/var/adm/sw/products/INDEX file has become corrupt.
Try
1)mv /var/adm/sw/products/INDEX /var/adm/sw/products/INDEX.old
2)reinstall a patch. ( Choose a patch without reboot)
/var/adm/sw/swinstall.log to see last patches installed.do not forget to set reinstall = true
[reinstall filesets even if same revision exists] in options menu.
Good patch is patch cleanup utility
This will remake the index
3)swconfig \* [ Ensures all filesets are configured ]
4)swlist -l fileset -a state to check 3
5)swlist to see if the problem is gone.
