/etc/services recover?

I accidently rm the /etc/services file while removing the bad symbolic link to radiusd service.

I am deeply in need of help about how to recover or recreate it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Re: /etc/services recover?

Template is in /usr/newconfig/etc/

cp that to /etc

After that - restore /etc/services from your backup.

Re: /etc/services recover?

Hi Steven:

A "virgin" copy is available as '/usr/newconfig/etc/services'.

Otherwise, you could restore it from a backup or from an Ignite recovery tape.

Re: /etc/services recover?

Hi,

First of all do you have another server, if yes copy it from that server.

Also restore the file from your backup-media.

GoodLuck
