EVA/HSG or Any SecurePath Managed Arrays - What do you do before after disks are removed?

Of course we do the LVM or VxVM gyrations we do:

1. Get WWID of each cXtYdZ to be removed via:

root# spmgr display

2. Remove the LUN via spmgr:

spmgr delete w-w-i-d

3. Use CommandView to depresent the Vdisk(s)

My question is, what do you usually do after Step 3?

Do you simply "ioscan;insf -e"?

Nelson,

If you want to remove the files from the unix server, you can remove them by rmsf, but it would be better to specify which you are deleting.

Use the ioscan to identify those which have NO_HARDW and delete them individually.

Hope this helps,

I throw in my lot with JASH.
Just a maintenance issue really, but we have been burned by not cleaning up old device files.
Your process looks spot on up to that point.
