event.log in 11.0

Hi,

I have one server with 11.0 hpux, but I don't have the file /var/opt/resmon/logs/event.log.
Do I need to install something? Is it possible to have event.log in 11.0?

Hola,

Please check this document, have a useful info about System Activity and Events, and take a look to "10.2.2 The Event Monitoring System (EMS)". Be careful, understands always a topic before make a change. As you know HP-UX 11i is out of date.

You can try to stop and restart EMS by running the following: /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig

Select "k" - to "(K)ill (disable) monitoring", then "e" - to "(E)nable Monitoring"

Well, you are in luck. HP still offers this product from software.hp.com. The link for the OnlineDiag package (which contains the EMS product) can be found here:
