Re: Excessive i/o on disk

Hi,

If you have Glance you can sort the processes on IO and spot the offender(s)

Re: Excessive i/o on disk

sar/glance may show 100% for san/nas disk. But this san/nas disk may be comprised of many disks on san/nas box. Is ths case with you??

iostat, glance may help you. but what you need to look at is which disk on san/nas is getting hit high. Looking san/nas performance will help you in this regard. something like armperf.

You may also want to check what file system is getting hit. - glance -i

Re: Excessive i/o on disk

Hi Claudio

1. Glance will provide you details on Resource utilisation.

2. If your application is IO intensive then you should plan to have RAID0/1 environment
