Background:
I have installed the xvfb utility with PHSS_23546. I have been successful in getting it to launch but I am receiving an error once I execute an application which requires a display (using x3d display driver).
The application which I am launching is reporting the below problem.
X connection to ancho:10.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
X connection to ancho:10.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
Any suggestions on what is happening and how to fix it?
Additional Information:
- When the graphical app is executed, it asks for either "x3d", "PEX" or "OGL" display. The drivers have been loaded and works when display is set to a workstation running x-win32.
- In the terminal window where the application was initiated, echo $DISPLAY returns ancho:10.0
- xclock -display ancho:10.0 works, meaning it does not error looking for a display.
- /var/X11/Xserver/logs only contains X0.log and X10.log and each contains Library Creation Times and Names. There are no references to execution errors.
- /etc/rc.config.d contents:
cat xvfb
START_XVFB=1
XVFB=/usr/bin/X11/X
DNUM=10
ARGS="-ac -fbdir /var/X11/Xserver"

Re: Executing xvfb on HP-UX 11
You really need PHSS_23566 which supercedes PHSS_23546.
Then see if your issue goes away.
