I have a N-class machine with two internal disks. I also have a SAN attached storage. I would like to add more "local" disks to this system. This is to test and implement "hot" backup for Oracle. Instead of using expensive SAN disks I thought we could use local cheap disks.
I looked at the specs for the N class and discovered that it only supports 2 internal disks!!!
I have two questions:
1) Just to make sure, does the N-class only support 2 internal disks? I already have 2 disks for root.
2) If I can only have 2 internal disks, can someone recommend / suggest a suitable external disk ( not sure of correct terminology ) system / array. At the moment I have only requirement for about 146GB storage, of course with mirroring to provide redundancy.
Any other help / advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Sanjay.

You may also check N-Class information on:

For the disk click on "configure" under the "HP Storageworks" section.

Re: Extra disks on N-Class
Actually, here's an official HP site:
http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product.asp?sku=2542299&jumpid=ex_r2910_dealtimesmb/accessories
Apparently it is $995 for the cabinet itself and then you have to add the drives to it.
