Extract files from extension .std.Z

How to restore file with extention *.std.Z?
I have gunzip it to *.std but how do I extract it from here.
I am using HP-UX 11.0.
Points will be awarded.. have a great wkend...

check what file is *.std:

# file

Hello,

Try to use the command tar -xvf *.std and check if it works!

hi,

have u check what type of file they are using filename command?

if it is a tar file, use "tar -xvf ".

.Z files are created with the compress command. Try uncompress

#uncompress *.std.Z
