we have 3 K class servers running 10.20
at present backups are run to DLT 7000 emulating a DLT4000 on our main production system (as we only have DLT4000s on our development system)
we have an underused ADIC Scalar 1000 tape robot in our computer room which we can use
will this work with 10.20
will this work with fbackup
is there a 1 gigabit fibre card available for 10.20 and K class servers
thanks in advance

Hi,
I am 100% certain you can do this provided you have the right card installed, see the link below.
http://www.hp.com/products1/unixserverconnectivity/storage/adapter15/specifications/index.html
It should work with any backup product, but you will need to write a script to use the 'mc' command to load the tapes for you.
Attached is a document on how to configure your robot.
Cheers
Michael
