Hi
Is it possible to use fbackup with an hp library ?
I don't know how change the slot of a library when fabackup is running.
I wish a script or an configuration of fabackup that control the change of tape when the first tape is over.
I have to put this script/command in crontab
and i don't know how to pass this command whit fbackup running.
Thanks

FYI, I clicked on 'search' on the left side of the screen and used 'fbackup library' as the search terms and searched within the ITRC Forums. The above 3 results were among 50 results that were returned.

Re: fbackup + library
YOu can either use "mc" or "uma" to script changing tape from slots in a library.
DO a man on mc and uma for more info . I think for uma you need to have omniback installed but I am not sure .

Re: fbackup + library
Hi,
uma is a OmniBack utility, if you have OmniBack installed I think it is better to use this for backup.
mc can be used for loading an unloading media, but when using a library for backup you should perhaps look for a backup software with a media management system (as OmniBack).
