Re: Find Kernel verison

Hi

Use
file /stand/vmunix

Will show you

/stand/vmunix: ELF-64 executable object file - PA-RISC 2.0 (LP64)

Other value is 32

Re: Find Kernel verison

The man page for getconf offers several other bits of information about your opsystem and machine regarding 32/64 bits:

getconf KERNEL_BITS
getconf MACHINE_MODEL
getconf HW_CPU_SUPP_BITS
getconf HW_32_64_CAPABLE

Note that getconf is an emerging tool so earlier versions (like 10.20) don't have all the options found at 11i.
