Flash in mozilla 1.6

Hi, I installed the flash plugin but it only works in Netscape Communicator 4.8, when I try to view the same page on mozilla, the flash window opens up white and dissapears.

Here is the link:

If any of you out there have mozilla 1.6 and flash working, and maybe ran into this problem, please let me know how to troubleshoot.

Thanks.

Re: Flash in mozilla 1.6

Well, I just tried that site with Mozilla 1.7b and konqueror and the flash movie does the same thing as it does for you. It appears to be flash 4.

I think you need to e-mail the site author and complain a bit.

Re: Flash in mozilla 1.6

You mean there is no support for Flash 4 on the newer flash versions?

Re: Flash in mozilla 1.6

Well, I'm not saying that as such but I am saying that the flash plugin for mozilla or konqueror (which are the same actually) doesn't like it.

I am afraid this kind of thing happens a lot in a Microsoft centric browser world.

Re: Flash in mozilla 1.6

I use Mozilla Firebird 0.7 and the page loaded just fine for me. Try upgrading your browser.

Re: Flash in mozilla 1.6

It's from software.hp.com.

What does it say when u go to:

help -> about plugins

My Config says Default Plugin, Flashplayer and Java.

Maybe you have to activate it in
$HOME/.mozilla/pluginreg.dat
Do you have a line in it saying `/opt/flash/plugins/libflashplayer.so:$`?

Sorry for the late answer!

Better you go to
