Re: FS Increase by SAM
What happens if you try to fsadm/extendfs from command line? Do you get an error?
With OnlineJFS:
# fsadm -F vxfs -b (size) /dev/vgXX/lvolXX
Without OnlineJFS:
# umount /dev/vgXX/lvolXX
# extendfs -F vxfs /dev/vgXX/rlvolXX
# mount /dev/vgXX/lvolXX

Re: FS Increase by SAM
For example:
extendfs -F vxfs /dev/vg01/rlvol1
Try "man extendfs" to get more information.

SolutionIt's a trap ... When you want to extend a file system :
- If you use command line :
lvextend first then umount, extenfs, mount or fsadm depending on wether you have Online jfs or not
- If you use SAM, you have to extend the FILESYSTEM, not the LV. In this case, SAM will do first the lvextend then will extend the filesystem. If you choose to extend the LV, it will only do what you ask (only extend the LV), but unfortunately the FS will stay unchanged.
Regards.
