fstyp giving "Floating exception" error

Running version 11.23 on rx6600. Ignite error in save_config gives the following error:

/opt/ignite/bin/save_config[217]: 10058 Floating exception(coredump)
save_config: Error - cannot determine lv "/dev/vg00/lvol2" usage via fstyp

I've seen other threads that talk about outdated volume manager and ignite versions. However, when I compare this server to 2 other rx6600's that work they have the same ignite version (C.6.9.150) and volume manager version (4.1). The HP patches are also the same.

This used to work as of 2 weeks ago and I don't know of any recent changes to this system. I'm wondering if LVM is mixed up. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: fstyp giving "Floating exception" error

Shalom,

Try the command from the command line against the logical volume it complains about.

I believe you will receive the same error.

Ideas:
1) Filesystem is corrupt.
2) fstyp is in need of patching
3) General vxfs patching needs to be done on the system.

Ignite is a major version ahead of you but I would not do that until you make the error go away.

Re: fstyp giving "Floating exception" error

Hi:

Patches PHKL_35889 and PHCO_35888 should resolve this.

Regards!
