ftp problem form xp client.

Hi,

I am doing ftp from my windows xp client machine, i can connect to HP-UX server through ftp, but after giving ls command following error is comming.

ftp> ls
200 PORT command successful.
425 Can't build data connection: Connection timed out.
ftp>

Most MPE/iX forum members are only starting to learn about HP-UX at this stage, try the HP-UX forum instead.

You normally get this error if you are trying to upload from behind a firewall. If that is the case, you should set your FTP client to use Passive transfer mode

Looks like a firewall is stopping connecitons on ports 20 and 21.
