I configured a gateway to one of my servers, but when I ping this server, I get a replay with this message "source quench recieved" normally you get another sort of replay.
Can someone tell me which I kind of message is that and how can I solve this.

Dear Rita,
I see that Bruce has HP N series, but I've L series, moreover Bruce has mentioned to this patch (PHSS_20444),do you think if I'll install it,this 'll solve this problem.

One more thing, I saw also that berlene came with this suggestion "Setting the ndd parameter ip_send_source_quench to 0 can be an
effective way to deal with the messages"
Where can I put or change this parameter?

You set this permanently in /etc/rc.config.d/nddconf.
TRANSPORT_NAME[0]=ip
NDD_NAME[0]=ip_send_source_quench
NDD_VALUE[0]=0
