Gbit after ignite
From an ignitetape (ux 11.0)I installed a new machine. This new machine has gigabit ethernetcards and fibrecards:
gbit: A6825-60101
fibre: Tachyon XL2 Fibre
Can you tell me how to get these things to work?
TIA

Re: Gbit after ignite
Inside this CD will be a Table of Contents file
ll /cdrom |grep -i content
OR
ll /cdrom |grep -i table
'vi' this file, and look for the Product Number A6825, then scroll back to find out which Application CD it is on.
Load this Application CD, and install the Drivers for A6825 using 'swinstall'.
Share and Enjoy! Ian

Re: Gbit after ignite
Gbit: igelan product A6825A is on the application disk. The card will bind to the driver igelan and you'll configure /etc/rc.config.d/hpigelanconf
It requires the latest HP-UX 11.0 Quality Pack and patches PHNE_26250 and PHCO_25902. These patches have dependencies:
PHCO_25902
PHCO_26017
PHNE_21767
PHNE_22566
PHNE_26250
Fibre:
Download A6795A version: B.11.00.10 from
http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=A6795A Order of install is very important. So use the installation instructions from http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=A6795A&oper=install. This patch also lists a required patch PHKL_23939. It has the following dependencies:
PHCO_21187
PHCO_23651
PHKL_17038
PHKL_18543
PHKL_20016
PHKL_23939
PHKL_27813
PHKL_27980

Go to maintenance and support and observe this bullet: (* I think *)
- navigate knowledge trees and response center FAQ's
Is there a "key" at the end?
