gethostbyname and nslookup

Why my DNS works fine (nslookup direct/reverse resolution succeeds) and I must still add entries to my /etc/hosts file when I configure OmniBack, SAP, etc. ?

Hi,

SAP does not abide by name search order rules in /etc/nsswitch.conf.
