getmemwindow !
Hi !
Today appear in my console server the next message:
sh: /usr/bin/getmemwindow ! not found.
and this message constantly appear only in the console server. Somebody knows if i need to change some parameters value in the kernel ?. I found some information about the "getmemwindow" command, but the definition about this command is the next:
getmemwindow is the command used to extract window ids of user
processes from the /etc/services.window file.
Thank??s in advance !

Re: getmemwindow !
do you getmwmwindow executable in /usr/bin?
This is the part of memory windows utility which has been desinged to overcome the 1.7Gb memory limit for 32 bit programms/applications. It seems that you have defined memowry windows for some applications/databases. Check /etc/services.window to confirm that. If it is there then check whay getmemwindow is missing.
Hope this helps.
You can also get documents on memory windows at docs.hp.com

Re: getmemwindow !
The "getmemwindow" have the next permissions:
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 524 Apr 4 2001 getmemwindow
In the past, i had never utilized the /etc/services.window file, and that??s the first ocassion that i check this message on my server.
I have a HPUX 11.00/64 bits
- 3.62 Gbytes RAM
I have installed Oracle 8.0.6 on my server. Some of my applications that use the instances of oracle, was compiled to 32 bits, an other applications on 64 bits. I had never observed this message before.
Best Regards !
