giving test print but not getting out

i have given a test print and i am getting out put of lpstat -o
as no entries but in /var/spool/lp/request/ it's showing output as
-rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 502 Oct 23 20:38 lp
checked scheduler is runnig and pinging also.
