Glance Network Errors
We are seeing network errors when using glance, but lanadmin shows the following:
lanadmin -g mibstats 900
LAN INTERFACE STATUS DISPLAY
Mon, Nov 6,2006 16:27:10
PPA Number = 900
Description = lan900 Hewlett-Packard LinkAggregate Interface
Type (value) = ethernet-csmacd(6)
MTU Size = 1500
Speed = 1000000000
Station Address = 0x306ef26aee
Administration Status (value) = up(1)
Operation Status (value) = up(1)
Last Change = 4403
Press to continue
Inbound Octets = 1195669618
Inbound Unicast Packets = 1804016060
Inbound Non-Unicast Packets = 144350526
Inbound Discards = 0
Inbound Errors = 0
Inbound Unknown Protocols = 3875191
Outbound Octets = 2724451311
Outbound Unicast Packets = 1839321486
Outbound Non-Unicast Packets = 460268
Outbound Discards = 0
Outbound Errors = 0
Outbound Unknown Protocols = 0
Specific = 0
The only errors I see are for "Inbound Unknown Protocols".
Is this what glance is reporting?

Re: Glance Network Errors
Shalom,
Interesting command, I've not seen lanadmin used like that.
I don't believe anything of consequence is being reported by lanadmin. Its seems unable to classify some of the packets. You'd really have to use a packet sniffer like wireshare or ethereal or tcpdump to get a better handle on things.
Inbound and outbound errors are zero. Seems like a pretty clean network environment to me.
