Hi Wiboon,

see with "#lanadmin" if you have a problems(collisions, speed, etc) and with your network responsable check cable and network connection.

Re: Glance warning YELLOW ALERT Network error rate exceed threshold

The systems that consist of Network bottleneck are:
High Collisions Percentage; Packet rate and NFS call rate.Check you network for these causes and address them.
The default setting through Glance Advisor is for the yellow alarm to show if the problem persists at 90% for more than 2 minutes.

Re: Glance warning YELLOW ALERT Network error rate exceed threshold

One note. I have noticed that the default glance network alarms for OpC do not adjust appropriately for systems with multiple NICs. (It uses both total packet rate and total nfs call rate without correcting for multiple NICs.)

If you have this problem, you can alter the weighting factors in /var/opt/perf/alarmdef (make sure ot keep a clean copy).

Wibbon:

I just picked up on this thread. My personal experience is the same as Jim Welch's. I spent considerable time using lanadmin and talking with my local network folks only to find that the alarms vanished once I updated Glance to a current version with current alarm definitions.
