Faisal,

Purchasing a Server is based on the need analysis. I got confused when you said, purchasing a server for your personal training.

Whats your basic requirement?

Hi,

you could use much different server, but I believe you do not want to buy the newest and most expensive solution, so check ebay.com

To read more about the different types check:
http://www.openpa.net/systems/ for RISC systems.

And here you can read what Hp offers:

Check the 'business critical servers'

Shalom Faisal,

There is a live link here.
http://www.hp.com/sbso/serverstorage/index.html

find resellers

Servers themselves. HP-UX. Itanium are a better platform than PA-RISC right now.

Hi

If its just for your personel use and training, I would say go for an HP 9000 N class server with HPUX 11.11 . You can buy it cheap from ebay and other sites. You might get it for less than 1000 dollars !!

An N4000 for personal user / training? You've got to be joking. The N series are BIG and HEAVY and put out a LOT of heat and use a LOT of electricity.

For training, especially on HP-UX 11iv2 and later, I would look at the rp24xx series. Those are relatively small and don't use as much power.

Hi

I agree with patrick those RP series consume lot less power and that should be a good one to start with.
