Graphic Monitor bad...How to reset to use serial.

Need a little help.

K570 running 11.0
graphics monitor went bad
I can telnet to the system
I want to attach a serial monitor to reload some software.

How do I get the system to switch to the serial interface for the console???

I think you need to shutdown the system, disconnect the keyboard from the Core I/O first, then connect your serial console to the console connector on the Core I/O. Then power up.
