Just a note: The installation procedure for 11i v1 is pretty much the same on any server. Even workstation installs are not drastically different.

You put the OS cd in the cd-rom.

You boot the box at the console.

Interupt the boot at the 10 second prompt

bo P4 # if P4 is the cd-rom, random access device, the i/o path is usually stamped on 2405 servers somewhere.

The Ignite Interface comes up and you go through the tabs and choose software options and netwworking, etc.

A very nicely guided process.
