Have to use the same domain names?

Hi experts,

I am planning a 2-node cluster and have the following situation with the node IP and pkg IP:

NODE1:
LAN: 165.88.100.5 node1.aa.bb.com
PKG: 165.88.100.6 pkg1.aa.bb.com

NODE2:
LAN: 165.88.100.7 node2.cc.dd.com

All the 3 IPs are in the same subnet, but the domain name in the node2 is differrent from the one used in node1. We use DNS. My question is: will this cause any problem when set up the cluster and when the packge fails ove? I was thinking this might be ok since the 'cmmodnet' command only add and delete the packge IP address to the new node's primary Lan card, not the fully qualified package name. Any apps that reference the package will get the correct package IP anyway from DNS. Any comments?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Have to use the same domain names?

I don't think of any problems setting up nodes that belong to different domains as long as your clients use the DNS for floating IP.
