We have just pushed an 11i image to a N-4000 and all looks good with exception to getting our node on the network. We're getting the following error when trying to up our lan3 interface or any of them for that matter:
ERROR: The ifconfig(1M) command (ifconfig lan3 inet 10.102.21.9 netmask
0xffffffc0 up) failed to enable the lan3 interface (return value: 1).
Check that the system's networking hardware is functioning and
properly connected.
ERROR: Could not start networking.
Wondering if anyone has seen this before when pushing 11.11 images to servers and/or has any fixes to this issue?
Tks,
-Ken

Re: Having Issues getting Lan Interfaces to come up after Ignite Image
Hi
i saw this problem when the lan card was not the same in both computer ( one has 100FD and the other one gigabit card ) .
if this is the issue install patch - of [PHKL_22394/PACHRDME/English] to solve the problem , do a make_tape_recovery again and try to restore .
you can also try to trubleshoot this problem at single user mode , you need to change the ip and hostname if this ip and hostname exist
give me a feedback that i will now how to help you more on this issue
