what server, OS, where is the disk (internal/external - type of chassis etc.)

It's HP-UX 11.11, PA-RISC, superdome.
We have 1 nPar with 4 vpars, we want to upgrade HDD firmware for all vpars.

SolutionYou didn't talk about the disks details!
The upgrade process for disks connected to PA-RISC systems is using a special offline tool (except some arrays/JBODS). This tool is available for HP engineers online and password protected. You probably cannot do the upgrade by yourself.
