I've the next problem when i'm starting vpars in one rx8640, there is no delay to choose the second boot path or the Boot Option Maintenance Menu in the EFI Menu, and i need to know how can i set a delay in that menu instead the vPar autoselects the Primary boot path and starts with the below message.
OS might use only the primary console set via boot manager or conconfig command
0/0/0/2/0.6.0.0.0.0.0
0/0/0/3/0.6.0.0.0.0.0
EFI Shell [Built*in]
Boot Option Maintenance Menu
Use ^ and v to change option . Use Enter to select an option
Use > and < to view long descriptions
Hot Key: 'S' or 's' to start the EFI Shell
Selected boot option: 0/0/0/2/0.6.0.0.0.0.0
Loading.: 0/0/0/2/0.6.0.0.0.0.0
Executing Image: "\EFI\HPUX\HPUX.EFI"
Optional Data : "\EFI\HPUX\HPUX.EFI boot /stand/vmunix"
Starting: 0/0/0/2/0.6.0.0.0.0.0

SolutionDo you want to boot using alternate path?
or
Do you want to delay the autoboot option?
Read this to set autoboot delay.

Re: how can i set VPars menu delay?
You don't need a boot delay.
Why do you want a boot delay ? I guess it is to boot with an other disk, or an other kernel, or to reach maintenance mode, ...
You can do all of that with the command 'vparboot' from an other vPar :
-B : to boot from a given path
-b : to boot a non default kernel
-o : to boot with specific option, like "-is" or "-lm"
If no vpar is running, you can start a vpar from the vpmon on the console with 'vparload'. It has similar options.

Re: how can i set VPars menu delay?
Use the appropriate vPars commands for booting.
Hope this helps!
