Re: How to access HP CDE from HummingBird Exceed or other Softwares
you'll have to configure your eXceed correclty, to use
- "XDMCP direct" or "XMDCP broadcast"
- use the "X11 Font-Server" (xfs) running on HP-UX
I do prefer to use "Single Window Mode", and "external Window Manager" (i.e. NOT MS Windows)
HTH,
Wodisch

SolutionTo setup exceed do this:
xconfig --> Communication
mode = XDMCP-query press configure
enter the IP address of the server
you want to start your CDE, press ok
xconfig --> Screen Definition
single window, press ok
Your now ready to start.
run the exceed executable.
This should attach to the host
if the appropriate processes are
running.
HTH

Re: How to access HP CDE from HummingBird Exceed or other Softwares
What does this mean? Do I have a problem with Exceed on Windows 2k SP4 or do I need to configure sometime on the Unix box?

Re: How to access HP CDE from HummingBird Exceed or other Softwares
it is better, if you open a fresh thread opn this. For one, it is possible, you get overlooked and second, yuo wont be able to reward points, when your problem is solved.
