How to add network printer in HP-UX 6?
I have a printer, HP Laserjet 4200. I'm using HP-UX 6. How can I add this printer so that I can print manually or automatically from unix.
I use Solaris most of the time. I think lpsystem is not applicable to HP-UX. What about lpadmin? or do I need add a printcap file?
I already add the IP and host name into /etc/hosts file. What's the next step I need to do? I'm new in HP-UX environment. Please help. Thanks a lot.

Re: How to add network printer in HP-UX 6?
HP-UX 6? What does:
uname -a
show? HP-UX 6 is extremely old (late 1980's) and will never work with a network printer. If the version of HP-UX is 10.xx or later, you can use the hppi software to configure the printer.
