how to add to the default search path

HI

can someone tell me how to add a help volume (.sdl) of a newly installed product to the default serach path (in CDE) in such a way that whene pressing F1 key in the product window, CDE open the help window?

Path default are file

/etc/PATH

and /etc/MANPATH

Sorry, I didn't understand your question fully, and I don't think I may have answered it at all.. I think what your trying to do via CDE is up to the application trapping on F1 in it's own X code although maybe CDE can trap first... I'm probably way of the mark.. I think I'll shut up now!
