lvreduce -m 0 will serve the purpose. Make sure that you have backup before you proceed.

If you click the Forums advanced search link. Top left of screen.

Then to the left of the ITRC checkbox select HP-UX.

Then enter "break mirror" in the "Search for" field and the click search.

You'll find lots of links on how to break a mirror.

Note: if you "break" the mirror you won't have valid data on the "broken" side.

If you want valid data on broken side, you may need to do "lvsplit"(if you are using Mirrordisk/UX for mirroring)
