how to calculate LAN card utilization command line using in %

Hi,

any one have a idea to calculate them LAN card utilization in % (I know netstat -i will give
pktm in/out and collis).

Please let me know any one have good method.

The best way to see network utilization is Glance Plus software.

Have the 30 days version installed (you would require a license for this s/w). You can find it in the Core OS CDs.

I cheat, since real sysadmins don't use gui.

I use glance/gpm and look at the network utilization graph.

I'm attaching some sar tools one of the scripts will show network utilization as well.
