How to change hostname running CIFS server in a domain

I have a CIFS server was running fine. Now I rename the hostname form hostold to hostnew.
I use domain security model. what should I do on unix side and on windows domain side.

I add the hostnewname in the domain controller. but it still dort work.
I can get the domain info (group and user name and IDs by -- wbinfo -u ), but when I use browser type \\hostnew\ it prompt the passwd window ehich means not get the authentication correct.

I use NT domain controller.

Thanks

You need to remove it from the NT Domain, then re add it.

/opt/samba/bin/net ads join -U administrator

(or if not using Active Dir, then drop ads)
