I know that you could install (with codewords) the additional products to bring you up to the equivalent of an Enterprise OE. By extension, I would think that selecting and installing the EOE would function in the same way, skipping those products that were already installed and adding those not installed.

I think it would be possible to install the extra software ( codewords protected ) but in the end you will be faster reinstalling from scratch.

SolutionYou can upgrade from one OE to other OE using 'update-ux' command
Mount the Enterprize OE CD at /cdrom
update-ux -s /cdrom -y HPUX11i-OE-Ent
If swlist shows both the versions, then remove the Technical OE using 'swremove' command

The install doc lists the update command pretty clearly. What is not clear however, is if the patch bundles must be reapplied. Any advice?
